Garden Designs & small hardscapes
Fenceline Border Gardens
This design includes plenty of native plants in combination with non-invasive perennials. We love the stunning colors and textures that fill these gardens from spring to fall.
House on the Avenue
This backyard went from bare to bursting with life. This design includes the addition of trees, shrubs, lots of native plants and non-invasive perennials, flagstone paths, and a dry stone riverbed.
House on the 6th Hole
This design has it all: gardens to border the patio and back property line, flagstone paths, shrubs, perennials, ground covers, and more.
Backyard Oasis
This client needed a way to use their multilevel backyard, complete with rustic stone steps, to its fullest potential. We installed gardens, a massive amount of bulbs and ground covers, and even created a play area for their children featuring a tree stump “table” for tea time.
Wonderland walkway
This client wanted to add gardens that accentuated their classic architecture and new bluestone walkway. This project included shrub, lawn, and ivy removal before installing these stunning walkway gardens.
townhouse courtyard
This design is a great example of how much can be done even in small spaces. After removing most of the small lawn, this courtyard now offers a plethora of texture and color in every season.
Pollinator heaven
We love taking properties that offer a blank canvas and turning them into a kaleidoscope of color. Foundation gardens now wrap around the entire house, with more gardens lining the driveway. This design is full of native plants and non-invasive perennials that attract an array of pollinators and birds.
Wraparound overhaul
This project was an adventure! Thank goodness we had a client who was as enthusiastic and committed as we were. After days of tree, shrub, ivy, and lawn removal, we installed foundation gardens wrapping around the entire house. We added flagstone paths that invite a stroll through the new plantings, new brick and stone stoops at the side and back entrances, and a retaining wall to replace old, worn out boulders.
Gather around the fire
This client wanted a new fire pit and patio that offered a large space to relax, entertain, and enjoy a glowing fire with friends and family during Notre Dame football weekends. We also installed new gardens around the flagstone patio to make it that much more inviting and elegant.
Brick by brick
We transformed this backyard from rocky and drab into an upscale space that suits any of the client’s needs. This new patio was meticulously designed and constructed, cutting and laying each brick by hand. The design also includes native gardens that border the new patio on all sides.
Garden river
Beth’s gardens are such a joy to walk through. We installed a flagstone path that not only invites a garden stroll but also adds structural beauty that perfectly highlights the lush elegance her gardens offer.
Spring bulb designs
After a grey, dreary Michiana winter, bulbs are some of the first things that show up to announce spring has returned. Their sudden burst of color is one of the best ways to get your gardens into action as early as possible. It can be difficult to find landscapers and designers who have expertise in bulb design, but it’s one of our specialties.
